Phillip J. Ruschmeyer began his career at Van Schaack & Company in 1980, then Colorado’s largest full service real estate agency, with over 1,000 agents. He worked under the tutorial of Robert McNichols, son of Governor Stephen L.R. McNichols, while still at the University of Denver earning his degree in Real Estate Construction Management, with an emphasis in finance. In 1986, Ruschmeyer moved over to Frederick Ross Company, which had become Colorado’s largest private Commercial Real Estate Company. In 1996, Phil led a team to purchase a significant ownership positon in the company. During his career at Ross, Phil led a 12 person team to complete many of the largest leases for both landlords and tenants and over a billion dollars of investment sales throughout metro Denver.  In October 2006, unable to convince ownership that merging with a national or international firm was key to survival of the boutique firm, Ruschmeyer left to join the largest international real estate firm on the globe, CBRE, to co-lead the Tenant Advisory Group.  While there, he led CBRE to win its largest assignment in the company’s history, Google.

While Ruschmeyer Corporation was initially formed in 2000 to run Phil’s personal development activities, which included over 1,000,000 square feet of office, 250,000 square feet of retail, and numerous residential projects, it has now become a full service brokerage company.

During his career, Phil has received numerous awards including the Denver Board of Realtors “President’s Distinguished Service Award”, Denver Board of Realtors “Top Salesman” for’90,’01,’ 05’, SIOR “Transaction of the Year” Award, Frederick R. Ross “Top Producer Award” five times, DMCAR “Realtor of the Year ” Award, NAIOP “Broker of the Year” Award, Robert Hackstaff Community Service Award, Denver Business Journal “Top Office Production Winner”, and DMCAR “Deal of the Year Award”. He recently served as the 2013 Chairman of the DMCAR Fall Forecast serving the largest attendance ever at over 1,000. In 2014, the YMCA Board of Trustees awarded Phil with the prestigious “Golden Eagle Award” for 15 years of service both as an advisor and trustee.

During 2015, Phil led the Ruschmeyer Corporation to the #1 position for land brokerage volume resulting in over $650,000,000 of new developments including the HINES companies 40 story high rise, the first in over 30 years, Cherry Creeks largest infill apartment complex, and the largest apartment project to go under construction in metro Denver in 3 decades, a twin tower, 30 story, 540 unit project.  Ruschmeyer Development LTD under the umbrella of Ruschmeyer Corporation currently has over $40,000,000 of projects under construction and or in design.

Ruschmeyer Corporation principals have completed over 5,000,000 square feet of leases and sales resulting in over $5,000,000,000 in total transaction volume.
